I spent many years leading and growing in-house legal and compliance teams for global companies. Our team often needed additional support but there were constraints. Whether it was headcount restrictions, budget or just simply finding the right person we could trust to outsource to.

We would go to our external lawyers or compliance consultants for discrete or specialist pieces of work or projects but traditionally, external legal and compliance support is exactly that - too external.
